Portland again leads the way in future city planning with the bicycle car hybrid

why has it taken so long for vehicle design to be efficient?

nothing in nature could exist with such inefficiency and waste as the current mainstream auto mobile design.  The Dry Pod cuts through the air using basic aerodynamic principles and uses a lightweight design that exponentially reduces energy needs, fuel costs, etc.  All while able to use clean energy, virtually silent and requiring a 1/4 of the road surface gobbling up our lands as for a typical (pre-historic we can say) vehicles.

As the population grows there will only be less space and more need for clean and efficient transportation options.  THIS FUTURE IS INEVITABLE.

It’s really nice to see this concept is in the works! I actually thought this would have been on the market by now.
I like the clear plexyglass idea but wouldn’t it be more desirable to extend it to the sides, even as a door?
To be on a bicycle and be completely enclosed, unaffected by the elements would be a dream come true.

Dry Pod - Target Markets

Location: International cities with above average rain fall.

The Need: Available transportation options are too expensive, too dirty, too toxic, too cold or wet, and do not provide fun and daily exercise.  Can eliminates insurance, fuel and parking costs.  4 Dry Pods can park in one typical auto-mobile parking space.

Marketing Strategy:
Press releases, Internet viral marketing, word of mouth, the bikes themselves will advertise.

Sales will be conducted online and with select regional bike shops and "green" stores.

Dry Pod - Goals

Our goals with this project:
  • To provide clean, comfortable and healthy commuting options to urban dwellers in poor climate conditions.
  • To hire local workers and suppliers and support our community.
  • To have aesthetic beauty and style a high priority in the process, with the Apple Ipod Touch and Aptera cars an inspiration in the design.
  • Find a balance between luxury and mass affordability.
  • Safety, smooth riding and high performance handling characteristics another high priority.
  • Partner with local banks, investors and city of Portland.
  • Light weight and durable.
